Meet Nayla Hariz, MD
Dr. Nayla Hariz is board-certified in both psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. She works with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related symptoms, and other psychiatric concerns.
Her practice focuses on careful diagnostic assessment and evidence-based medication management. She takes time to understand each patient’s symptoms in context, explain treatment options clearly, and make decisions collaboratively.
Originally from Lebanon, Dr. Hariz earned her medical degree from the American University of Beirut in 2011. She completed psychiatry residency training at Rutgers, followed by fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry at SUNY Downstate.
Before transitioning to full-time private practice, Dr. Hariz worked in a range of inpatient and outpatient hospital-based settings in Connecticut. She established her private practice in 2023 and is licensed to practice medicine in both New York and Connecticut. Through Hariz Psychiatry PLLC, she provides telehealth care to patients in New York.
Care is individualized, patient-centered, and grounded in meaningful improvement in both symptoms and day-to-day functioning. When clinically appropriate, Dr. Hariz may incorporate supportive psychotherapy into medication management visits. The practice does not provide stand-alone psychotherapy.
Patients have access to secure telehealth visits, streamlined online scheduling, and a patient portal for communication and refill requests.
